Vegas Strong Ale Made Here In Henderson
Want to drink beer and help the victims of the Harvest 91 shooting? Order some Vegas Strong Ale!
Kyle Weniger, head brewer at Joseph James Brewing Co. in Henderson, decided to make a Vegas Strong Ale. It turned out to be a community effort. The 620-gallon batch of draft beer has:
Chocolate from Hexx Kitchen + Bar
Coffee beans from Mothership Coffee Roasters
Honey from Pahrump Honey Company
Malt from Brews Supply Company and Tenaya Creek Brewery
Joseph James Brewing Co. is donating all the keg sales to the Las Vegas Victims' Fund. It kept one keg to auction for the Fund.
Twenty-four bars in town are carrying Vegas Strong Ale, which sells for between $6-$9 a glass. It's also for sale (while it lasts) at the Whole Foods Market on South Las Vegas Boulevard in Town Square.
Drink up, Las Vegas!
